Costumes aren’t just made for trick-or-treating. You could be the one handing out the candy to trick-or-treaters, or even attending a Halloween Party with your friends. Regardless of the fact, Halloween is decidedly more fun when you’re fully dressed up and totally into the spirit of it (haha spirit, get it?).
Next time, instead of dressing up like a witch, Dracula, doctor, or some basic animal, put your thinking cap on and get creative. Here are 10 inspirational ideas to get your creative juices flowing, and if it doesn’t, well heck just dress up as one of these!
Blend together pop culture and pop culture to get one amazing costume! Just make sure that you start rapping with a gothic voice instead of 50’s drawl and you’ll be on the right track!
Be the new iPod/iPhone and take it to the next step by becoming the Tinder App. Wait no, we mean a Tinder user. At least this way, you can’t be swiped left and people will be stuck dealing with you!
3. One Night Stand
Who knows, maybe this get-up will score you a friend for the night. And who needs pockets when you have a table top to store things on? Just make sure that you’ve got the usual suspects stored in the drawer for some post partying fun.
Fans of Breaking Bad will get this reference. Blend together a character from an amazing show and America’s most loved food, and you’ll have the ultimate costume!
Emoji’s have been around for awhile, but for some reason they rose to the epitome of popularity. Channel your inner pop culture fanatic and dress up as your favorite Emoji for Halloween! You’ll keep your friends guessing since it isn’t a typical Halloween Costume either.
6. Disney Hipster
Take hipster to a whole new level by emmulating one on Halloween (they’re wannabes are they not?) with one of these fantastic Disney costumes. Their signs reading from left to right say:
“Don’t call me Ariel, my name is Helvetica.”
“I had an Apple before Steve Jobs.”
“Growing up is too mainstream.”
If you’ve got some good DIY skills and extra costume pieces lying around, get creative and put together a 2 piece costume that’ll have your friends scratching their heads.
8. Ginger Bread Man
This is exclusively for gingers (unless you can find a red wig). As punny as puns can get, dress up as the ginger bread man this Halloween and have people going “Ohhhhhhh” once they clue into your outfit.
9. Coppertone Girl
For those with kids, this costume is a nice nostalgic nod (try saying that 10 times fast) to our childhood. Although make sure that you’re providing some discretionary words to others that see the costume as some may be easily offended.
10. 50 Shades of Grey
Get caught up in this year’s most talked about book and movie. Hop on over to your local home reno store and pick up some paint chips in varying shades of grey to complete this outfit. Make sure to wear some grey clothes underneath to avoid a nip slip!
