San Juan is one of the best places to visit for a winter getaway. Not only is the weather amazing, but hotel prices are a lot cheaper than any other Caribbean island. You get to enjoy temperatures up to 28-30 degrees Celsius from December to April, and it experiences very little rainfall. The amazing beaches will be the highlight of your trip, as it is one of the most popular destinations for people travelling from all over the world.

You can also get to experience Carnaval de Ponce in February. It’s a week long full of festivities and parades, similar to Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

If you’re not in the mood for sun, and you just want to enjoy the snow, Whistler Blackcomb is one of the top places to hit up. It consists of Whistler and Blackcomb (two of the tallest mountains) and over 39 ski lifts.

The city is lit up bright and people are bundled up in their jackets, drinking hot chocolate in a cafe somewhere.
