Ben & Jerry’s Bob Marley “Satisfy My Bowl” ice cream was released 2 few months ago in collaboration with 1Love Foundation to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley’s Legend compilation album. It stands to note that it’s also very close to Bob Marley’s commemorative 70th birthday. In honour of the musician that changed and developed the reggae scene, they have created a tropical flavor that will do the singer justice. What does a Bob Marley ice cream taste like, you wonder?
The answer is: Banana ice cream loaded with caramel, cookie crumbs, and chocolate pieces in the shape of peace signs. The peace signs alone have got us craving this delectable treat. Can you imagine a melt-in-your-mouth chunk of vanilla-y banana coolness mixed in with gooey layers of caramel and cookie crumbs?
The ice cream is said to have been released on September 15th, but it’s only available in the UK, the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway. It’s not even available anywhere in North America (Yes, not even the United States) There is currently a petition to bring the ice cream flavor over, because well, it’s quite a rare one from what we think. Could it be the production of the mini peace signs are too delicate and unique to mass produce? Who knows.
There’s a great review of what the elusive ice cream does taste like.
We can all say that bringing the Bob Marley commemorative ice cream to the rest of the world would be an amazing move, especially since he made such a huge impact in promoting social change and musical change all over the world as well.
Do you want to bring over this delectable ice cream over to North America?
