Cauliflower mashed potatoes are something that dreams are made from. They look and taste like mashed potatoes, but are low carb and diet happy. This simple 5-step guide for cauliflower mashed potatoes made easy will turn you into a chef in just 20 minutes, because let’s be honest, ain’t nobody got time for anything more.
Here’s What You’ll Need
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 tablespoon of butter
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream
- Garlic powder
- Black pepper
- Parmesan Cheese
- Rosemary Leaves
1. Cut off the leafy bottom of the cauliflower.
By removing the bottom of the cauliflower, you will be able to pull apart each cauliflower piece and cut off stem easier.
2. Add cauliflower heads into a pot.
Fill the pot with 1 cup of water. Cover your pot and turn your heat to medium-high for 15 minutes. Make sure to turn on the overhead fan!
3. Drain water.
Add ½ a tablespoon of butter, 2 tablespoons of sour cream, and black pepper for flavour. You can play around a little bit with the ratios if you’re unhappy with the flavoring.
4. Mash Cauliflower
Make sure to mash until creamy. Or less if you like it to be a little chunkier!
5. Place back on stove with heat on low to settle.
Add 3 tablespoons of milk, garlic powder and some parmesan cheese and rosemary leaves to top it off!
