- Corn Flour- 1 tsp
- Chopped Garlic- 1 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric- 1 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice- 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Soak the potatoes.
After slicing the potatoes, soak them in a bowl of cold water.
- Prepare the coating.
Mix all the different flour in a large bowl, these will be used to coat the potato slices.
- Add Chilli Paste.
Throw the green chillies into a blender and add a little water to grind it into a paste. Add this paste to the flour bowl.
- Add other ingredients.
To the big bowl, add garlic, turmeric, lemon juice and salt. If you like things extra spicy then add some chilli powder.
- Mix thoroughly and add potatoes.
Mix the above mixture thoroughly and add the potato slices to it. Let some water from the potatoes drain into this mixture so that the mixture is now a thick paste which adheres to the potatoes like a coating.
- Deep fry the potatoes.
Slowly put these coated potato slices into a pan of hot oil as shown.
- Fry thoroughly.
Allow the potatoes to fry until they are golden brown on either side.
- Serve hot.
Remove excess oil with the help of a paper towel and serve hot. To give it a more authentic flavour, you can add some rock salt and chilli flakes if desired. Enjoy!
