With one trilogy coming to an end signals the time for another. Although there may only be one movie left in the Hunger Games trilogy (now a tetrology), it still feels as if the franchise is coming to an end. Aptly scheduled at the right time is the release of the new movie for The Divergent Series, Insurgent.
If you’re not completely caught up with The Divergent Series, Tris is the protagonist trapped in a so called utopian world trying to break free of the government’s hold. At the coming of age, each child is told to choose a faction (community) to belong to for the rest of their lives and Tris’ choice is Dauntless. In the first movie of the series, herself and a band of rebels break free and attempt to throw over the ruling power. In the upcoming release, their numbers are limited and look to others (the factionless) for comradeship.
The trailer for the sequel depicts Tris in fully Dauntless mode complete with leaps off of sky-high buildings, climbing through wreckage, and gun fire. You can’t expect any less from a faction that fears nothing except for taking care of each other.
Unfortunately the trailer is just a tease of the film since it won’t actually be released until March 20, 2015. Until then, you could always just find out what happens by reading the books. However if you have already had a chance to read the books, then you may even notice some wild inaccuracies with the trailer. What in the world is that box? And why is Tris shooting a gun? From some of the comments that we’ve been reading online, loyal fans of the trilogy are giving the movie some flack for not sticking with the original story. If you’ve already read it, we want to know how you feel about the trailer! What inaccuracies have you spotted?
