Hosting can sometimes be tedious, especially all of the food prep involved. But what if you got your guests to make their own food instead? No, not a potluck, but that could work too. We’re talking about a snack and candy bar! Bridal showers tend to be busy events where the guests are playing games and occupying the bride-to-be. No one really has time to sit down and have a full meal. Wouldn’t you rather dress a doll blind folded for prizes instead of snacking on pizza? We know we would!

If you’ve been given the task of helping the bride on her journey of marriage, then the responsibilities of a bridal shower most likely will fall onto your lap!

As we get older, our sweet tooth disappears. So make sure that you put out some food that is appropriate for guests that aren’t too fond of sugar. If they enjoy a savory palette then a charcuterie board is the way to go. Make sure to read up on different meat and cheese pairings so that what you put out on the board will taste good together. Everyone always loves a prosciutto and camenbert cheese pairing so there’s one already set up for you!

Fruit Skewers

Nope, we didn’t forget about the sweet tooths that want to stay healthy! Fruit skewers are an awesome way to get a quick sugar kick without loading up on the added calories. You can either choose to pre-skewer the fruits or leave them on a platter and let guests make their own. If you place the chocolate pots for the pretzels and marshmallows close to the fruits, guests can also create their own fruit fondues. See, bridal shower food prep doesn’t have to be so difficult!

Macarons

These are ultimately the hardest thing to make. So make sure that you give yourself ample time to try and test out recipes so that you can tweak it to suit your needs. But if it doesn’t work out, picking up an order from your local macaron bakery doesn’t hurt either! However, if you can perfect these, then they’re a guaranteed hit at every party that you attend in the future!

You’re bound to get thirsty after playing all of those games and laughing so hard that you almost pee your pants. Why not rehydrate yourself with a fruit bar?

Create a simple canteen with some glass water dispensers and fill them up with water or fruit juices. Place fruits into plastic glasses and encourage your guests to try out fruit infused water!

If you really want to be original, leave out a plate of herbs (mint, rosemarry, thyme, oregano) for guests to mix up with their fruits and try a new flavor!
