Manicure Monday: Floral Nail Art
Florals are perfect for spring and summer. But sometimes floral printed clothing can be overwhelming, so why not give just a little accent on your nails! While they look very intricate, they’re actually pretty simple to do. This week’s Manicure Monday will show you how to get floral nail art!

Apply a base coat.

Protect your nails and make them easier to work with.

We chose to do a clean white background, but you can choose any other you’d wish! Light colors work best, as the floral design will show up nicely.

Apply the flower’s base color.

Using a dotting tool (or end of a bobby pin), dot together a cluster in a rough circle shape.

Swirl in white polish.

To give more dimension to the flower, dot a few spots of white polish onto the pick, and use a toothpick to gently swirl the two colours together. Do not over-swirl!

Create leaves.

Use a thin brush or toothpick to add a few tiny strokes to create leaves.

Apply a top coat.

  1. I love this tutorial! Floral prints are definitely very in for the summer time. This tutorial was super easy to follow and the colour combination is perfect!
