Who wants to go jogging on a treadmill or climb steps on a Stairmaster when you can actually have fun getting fit? Sorry cardio bunnies, we’ve found a new way to burn calories and socialize with our girlfriends at the same time. Join us and our Girl On the Go as we give a barre fitness class a go at the Queen West location of Barreworks in the heart of downtown Toronto.
We met our lovely instructor Paulina, who guaranteed us that there is absolutely no prior experience required before trying out any sort of barre fitness class. We found out that as long as you come in with an open mind, a willingness to learn and a positive vibe, you’ll leave the class feeling as if you’ve accomplished something extraordinary (even if you’re not flexible enough to put your foot up onto the barre).
And if you really are nervous, you can always start out with the basics class to get yourself oriented into the movements and style of this fitness exercise. Trust us when we say that by the end of the class, you’ll be sweating more than you ever thought you could, but enjoying every minute of it instead of hating yourself like you would on the elliptical! So go ahead, give it a try!
