You don’t have to be the editor-in-chief at Vogue to get the full experience of Paris Fashion Week – we’ve rounded up the best ways to experience all of the hype right from your computer or iPhone! And we promise that no matter where you are, it will feel like not only are you front row at every show a la Anna Wintour, but backstage access along with all the models and makeup artists as well.
1) Double-Tap Your Way Through Shows
Amoung the selfies and Starbucks posts, following the right people on Instagram can let you not only experience each look as the models come down the runways (thank you Hyperlapse!), but you can travel along with your favorite blogger (we love Bryan Boy) as they venture into the City of Lights, explore the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, nibble on pistachio macarons and sip on cappuccinos at Les Deux Magots. Double-tap your way through runway looks and after-parties attended by all your favorite celebs (think Kim and Kanye), and and it can be done all while you’re in line grabbing lunch just around the corner from your office.
2) Up To Date Coverage
You don’t have to wait for the next issue of Elle to come out to see what was spotted on the Chanel runway, thanks to the extreme amount of coverage available online. We like Style.com and Vogue (naturally) – you’ll spend hours browsing through interviews with designers, runway looks and street style and trend reports. As well, publications like WWD and Fashion Magazine do a great job covering the runway through their Instagram’s.
3) Get Backstage Access to Paris Fashion Week
Follow models of the moment or top makeup artists for backstage access to PFW behind the scenes. Check out some of our favorites: Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss who walked in Balmain, and Lucia Pieroni who did makeup for Rick Owen and Rochas and makeup brand Mac Cosmetics!
4) Check Out all the Street Style Inspo
Love fashion week for the amazing street style shots of all the attendees? There are tons of great street style photographers who upload hundreds of photos to their website or who work for major fashion magazines. Check out The Sartorialist or Harper’s Bazaar for your next outfit idea – trust us, you’ll be inspired for days!
5) Bloggers To Follow
Blogs are a great way to get original content from Fashion Week – read what’s on the mind of fashion bloggers from all over the world! Some of the bloggers we think you should check out this PFW are Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat, Leandra Medine of Man Repeller and Yvan Rodic of Face Hunter – follow what they blog to their site and on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. as they take you through PWF through their point of view.
