Do you feel like you are forever trying to drink more water? The benefits of staying hydrated include everything from increased circulation and healthier skin to energized muscles and keeping your daily caloric intake in control. But some days you’d rather drink a caramel, extra shot coffee than guzzle down the required ounces of H20.

Recommended consumption includes everything from dividing your body weight in half and drinking that many ounces, to eight – eight ounce glasses, or drinking as much water each day that you rarely feel thirst.

Your fridge is probably stocked with an assortment of fruit, vegetables and herbs. Why not use those natural ingredients to kick up your water in a unique way that doesn’t require a lot of work?

Below are four infused ice cube concoctions that will surely kick up your water – and your taste buds! Each blend was created for a different purpose, whether it is to energize your body, soothe your soul, boost your immune system, or recover from a long night.

Infused Ice Cubes

Energy: This creation is full of folate and Vitamin C from the lemon and grapefruit, plus the addition of rosemary which has been shown to improve cognitive performance.

Immune Boost: These cubes include blueberries and raspberries which are bursting with antioxidants that can help boost your immune system and fight off disease, and mint which promotes digestion.

Recovery: Chocked full of strawberries, cucumbers, which contain vitamin B and electrolytes to replenish many essential nutrients, and basil, shown to aid in detoxifying your liver.

Calm: The antioxidant powerhouse of pomegranate-blackberry has the natural ability to reduce blood pressure plus the addition of sage, which has a natural relaxing affect.

To make the infused ice cubes, fill each empty ice cube mould with a few pieces of chopped fruit, vegetables and herbs. Add water to fill and freeze until solid. Enjoy each combination separately, or mix and match as desired.
