Get ready to feel unaccomplished in life. Karl Lagerfield’s cat, Choupette, about to have a fashion line when you’ve barely saved up enough to contribute to your RRSP. Besides the fashion line, Choupette already has an impressive resume including a Shu Uemura line (Shupette), and a Karl Lagerfield capsule collection. And if that doesn’t make you envious enough, Choupette also has a personal twitter account with over 42k followers.
If you missed out on your chance of a piece of the Choupette capsule collection, make sure to get in line for the next capsule collection to be released this coming November. Be prepared for a twist though. This collection won’t be as cute and fluffy as its predecessor. We’re not sure if Choupette somehow managed to anger Karl during their production meetings, but the little furball’s adorable face took on a scowl for the collection, Monster Choupette.
Monster Choupette Capsule Collection
If you’re as excited about this collection as we are, it can be purchased at the Karl Lagerfield flagship store in London (145 Regent St.) this coming November. But if you’re not lucky enough to live in London like the Brits (or don’t have time to stop by while the collection is available), the collection will be readily available online as well for die-hard Choupette fans. Just in time to pick up a new sweater to snuggle up to for the fall/winter. Although you may be snuggling up alone since the scowling Choupette expressions may scare away any potential significant others!
Prices will range from £20 for the fanged sparkley socks to £230 for a saffiano leather tote. Besides the large tote (if it isn’t within your budget), there are some smaller accessories in the collection as well. Smaller pouches, a wallet and some Fendi-esque little fur ball keychains will be available too. We’ve got our eye on the blue evelope clutch at the moment as it’s the perfect size to fit all of our accessories without being excessively large!
But thinking pre-emptively, we may even try out this Choupette look for Halloween before the collection is available for sale. Hey, you’ve always got to stay one foot ahead of the game right? Might as well “have” the collection before it’s even available for public purchase! Then you’ll definitely seem like a trendsetter!
