This year marks the 10th year anniversary of the infamous heart wrenching movie, The Notebook. Hopefully it moved all of you movie aficionados to tears just as it did to us 10 years back, as it also did on the film set. You’ll be surprised to know that the tears cried on the set were for a totally different reason. Recently, director Nick Cassavetes revealed that Ryan Gosling, 33, and Rachel McAdams, 35, clashed on set. Their personalities caused them to fight so much that at one point Ryan took the director aside and asked for Rachel to be replaced with another actor!
It seems that even though they date briefly on and off from 2004 to 2007, things weren’t always sunshine and rainbows. How did the director get them to work with each to other? But putting the two actors into a closed room and allowing them to hash it out. Did this therapy session work? At first it didn’t seem like the two were ever going to reconcile their differences since all they would ever do was argue. But the time out in the room forced them to release every feeling they had for each other, even if it involved a lot of screaming. In the end, the movie grossed $115.6 million in the box office and created a love story to end all love stories. It wasn’t until a year after the movie was released did the two show any interest in each other and begin a relationship.
