Revered for her both her humanitarian and environmental work, Olivia Wilde has been named as the new face for H&M’s 2015 Conscious Exclusive collection. As we all know, the turn-over rate for fashion is quick, as trends are constantly changing and evolving. Being known to deliver the most up-to-date pieces for the fashionably conscious, H&M has made a commitment to provide more sustainable fashion through their Conscious Exclusive campaigns.
The 2015 collection has a global influence on silhouettes and aesthetics, with inspiration stemming from African, Asian and Indian cultures. As these cultures are geographically warmer, the focus of the collection is situated around dresses as well as many hand-drawn prints exclusively designed for the collection.
Olivia Wilde is the Perfect Match for Conscious Exclusive
Wilde is well suited to be the ambassador for H&M’s sustainable collection as she herself has recently partnered up with Birchbox through her charity, Conscious Commerce, to curate a Conscious Commerce Limited Edition set. Converging along the lines of H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection, Wilde strives to create a conscious commerce in order to give back to both the people of the world, and Earth itself.

According to a press release, all of the pieces from the collection are manufactured from “materials such as organic silk, organic cotton, organic linen, Tencel, recycled polyester and conscious leather”. These green materials were specifically chosen to minimize the impact on the environment during the process of manufacturing. We’re absolutely on board with this initiative and can’t wait to see the pieces in person and to add them to our wardrobes in the upcoming year!
Unfortunately H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection isn’t available just yet, so you’ll have to wait till April 16, 2015 in order to get your hands on it.
