It’s that time of year again, Starbucks holiday drinks are back! If you have picked up a latte or two in the last few days, you may have noticed that the white cups have been replaced with the seasonal red cups. This is truly the first sign of the approaching holiday season.
This year, Starbucks announced that they will be introducing a new drink to their holiday collection, the Chestnut Praline Latte. This is the first new holiday handcrafted beverage that Starbucks has offered in the past five years. The hot beverage will join other holiday favorites just like the Peppermint Mocha and the Gingerbread latte. This was an incredibly smart move on behalf of Starbucks because as we know chestnuts roasting on an open fire is one of the best holiday traditions.
Brace yourselves, this new delicious drink comes with 260-330 calories for a grande (or a medium for those of you who don’t speak Starbucks). However turns out that, like the PSL which has no pumpkin in it, the Chestnut Praline Latte, this new holiday drink is free of chestnuts and nuts which is a good sign for those who are allergic to nuts! The latte is said to hit all Starbucks locations in North America starting this month.
Along with the new drink, 2014 will also mark the year of the 30th anniversary Christmas blend. So whether you prefer straight coffee or lattes, Starbucks has something for you this season. Some are even saying that this new drink will be even more popular than the PSL (which we can’t even fathom at the moment). Whether this is true or not, we will definitely try this new drink!
