Guacamole is the best kind of chip dip that keeps you feeling guilt-free. Being that it’s foundation is avocado, and all it’s toppings are veggies, you can indulge knowing that you got your full serving of veggies for the day. Appropriate at any party, you can bring this to a friend’s house knowing that you brought the best dish there (with our recipe, of course). And if you’re ever having a dinner party with Barak Obama, word on the street is that he “loses his mind” over chips and a good guacamole. Whether it’s to indulge in yourself, or to become the most popular girl at the party, we’ve got the perfect guac recipe for you. While there are many varieties out there, ours is full of tangy flavor – perfect with a summer cocktail.
– 2 avocados (serves 2-4)
– 1/2 of an onion
– 1 tomato
– 1/2 a lime
– 1 jalapeno
– 10 sprigs of parsley
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt & pepper (or to taste)
– Don’t over-mash. These delicate veggies taste great when mixed together, but we don’t want it to become baby food.
– Choose the right avocados. Hass avocados are best for guac, and make sure they’re ripe. Avocados that are too fresh can be very hard to mash and will not give the right texture.
– Dice your veggies. Dicing can be a knife-skill to master, but it will ensure that the veggies sit properly within your guacamole.
