There are always those TV shows that, when cancelled, break our hearts into little pieces. Think way back playback, 90s and early 2000s television that made us have all the feels, and we miss them.
The best thing, these can be passed down from generations to educate on wonderful TV. Let’s take a trip down memory lane shall we?
10 years of goodness came from this TV show and we remain sad everyday that it is not still on air. The program gave us a combination of wit and romance while following the lives of six friends residing in New York City. The show, thank goodness, is in syndication which means we can still enjoy episodes on various weeknights.
Famous Line: “How you doin?” – Joey Tribbiani
Gilmore Girls (2000-2007)
Okay two things. One if you are a girl and have never seen this show, please watch immediately. Two, if you are a mother and have a daughter and have not watched this show, watch two times faster. This drama revolves around a single mother raising her teenage daughter in a small town in Connecticut. Between the bickering, the heart break, the mile stones, and the girl power, all seven seasons are fabulous.
Famous Line: “Give me a burger, onion rings, and a list of people who killed their parents and got away with it. I need some heroes” – Lorelai Gilmore.
Veronica Mars (2004-2007)
We parted in such sweet sorrow with V-Mars. Even though the show only lasted three seasons it, thanfully, came back for a movie thanks to all the wonderful people who contributed to the kickstarter campaign. The drama is centered around a teenage girl who solves all cases from a hacked phone to her best friends murder. Why do we love Veronica Mars? Because the show is now available on Netflix (even in Canada!) which means you have no excuse to start watching. Once you are done, let us know if you are Team Logan or Team Duncan.
Famous Line: “If I ever die, do me a favor. Go on Oprah and tell the world that I loved kittens.” – Veronica Mars
Will & Grace (1998-2006)
Will and Grace are two unconventional roommates with dramatic, yet comical lives. Will is a gay lawyer and Grace is a recently single interior designer. The writers of this show made us laugh from start to finish, meaning there is no hope for us when there are marathons. If you need a good laugh and relaxing night, pull our the wine and enjoy.
Famous Line: “Will, my love for you is like this scar, ugly, but permanent.” – Grace Adler
Full House (1987-1995)
Even though MK + A are super successful fashion designers now, we can’t help but fall even more in love with them every time we can catch a re-run of Full House. This super unconventional household of a single father and his three daughters, his brother-in-law and his best friend. With a few additions to the family, this sitcom/drama is sure to fill your hearts with joy. Sidenote: the box set comes in a cute little house, in case you needed a reason to purchase the DVDs.
Famous Line: “You got it, dude!” – Michelle Tanner
