Target wowed us with their large 48 look collection that’s wallet and budget friendly. It was very in-line for the holidays and highlighted their currently in-season products. Their “Canadian Winter” theme incorporated lots of knits, animal prints and faux fur, and the show began with a parisian themed collection incorporating lots of lace, black and moody shades as well as plush fabrics. Throughout the show, Target also managed to set the mood with a video montage of parisian-esque scenes and slow music.

After their parisian foray, the collection went into a more casual direction with puffer jackets, jeans and even pleather sweats! If Target wasn’t on the top of your list for following trends then they’re definitely topping them now. Anyone producing pleather sweats is on the right track.

WMCFW S/S 2015: Target

What we loved the most from Target’s show was that all of the models were smiling, happy and seemed like they really enjoyed being there. It was a nice change up from the typical RBF look that most shows go for. It made the show relatable and added some personality to the whole collection.

The show also incorporated a sneak peak of it’s new line and partnership with TOMS that’s supposed to debut November 16th, 2014. Their collaboration line has everything for the whole family, and Target emphasized that by incorporating some child models into their show as well.

They closed out the day with a quick strut of their mascot, Bullseye, down the runway, followed by the family of models dancing to a blast of gold confetti. Target’s show demonstrated to us that you don’t have to wear haute couture in order to be fashionable, as affordable pieces are just as trendy if styled properly!
