With the unveiling of the new iWatch from Apple, we have decided to look at the next new trendy in tech and fashion: Tech wearables. Watches have been dominating the wrist-area as the go-to accessory. No #wristgame picture is complete without a staple watch. But as wearable techs become more and more trendy, it’s time to add some wrist techs to your daily #ootd to stay on-trend. See our list for some cool wrist techs to add to your outfits!
This first one goes to all my techy gals out there, the Samsung Gear 2. With this smart watch, you definitely feel like you belong in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Read and respond to messages without typing. Change channels. And even take pictures! All this can be done on your wrist. No more oops-I-almost-got-caught-checking-my-phone, because everything will be on your wrist. Bored of how it looks? The multi-colored, interchangeable band can help you solve that problem.
Sony’s Smartband can also be another great addition to your collection. It’s sleek and minimalistic design gives you an instant cool vibe. Nobody can tell what it really does, but it can do a lot. Using it simultaneously with their app, it helps you keep track and log everything you do. From tracking your sleep to controlling your music, this band can do it all! Best part about it is that it’s also dust and waterproof – which means it’s klutz-safe!
Let’s admit it. We all want to splurge on something designer once in a while. And the Tory Burch x Fitbit collaboration is exactly the splurge we needed. While NYFW 2013 made wearing fitness trackers “fashionable”, we’re still not entirely sold on the idea of donning a Rose Gold Nike Fuelband as part of our staple jewelry-wear. That is, until we laid eyes on the collaboration. The elaborately designed gold bangle that doubles as a fitness tracker instantly turns the Fitbit from bland to glam. Amping up an outfit for a day at the office, or need a statement piece to go with the LBD for girl’s night? This needs to be your new go-to accessory. Plus, it’ll let you see exactly how much calories you’ve burnt that day – making it much easier to decide whether or not to have that second cupcake. Staying trendy fit just got easier!
Getting that perfect sun-kissed glow is not an easy task. While using self-tanners can achieve the effect, some of us may prefer a more au naturale method, tanning in the sun, soaking up that Vitamin D. It’s a great cost effective method, but you also need to be aware of the potential side effect – skin cancer. Thankfully, Netamo’s June can help solve this problem. Designed by a former Louis Vuitton jewelry designer, this wrist piece can tell you just how much SPF you should be wearing to stay protected from the sun.
5. Q Bracelet
Sometimes we’re just so busy that we drain all the battery out of our phone. Or we just forget to charge it and/or forgot the charger at home. But with the Q Bracelet, our only problem becomes choosing between a polish finish or a matte finish (they BOTH look so good!). The Q Bracelet is a portable battery charger that sits nicely with your arm party. When your battery is on low, simply take it off and plug it in and your life phone will be up and running again in no time.
6. Apple iWatch
And last but not least, we obviously had to include the Apple Watch. Revealed yesterday at the same conference of the iPhone 6 release, the Apple Watch is joining the designer electronic watch market. As if Apple didn’t already steal the show with cellphones and laptops, they’ve not entered in the time piece game. But as opposed to other apple products where you can’t really customize how the watch looks, the Apple Watch comes in a variety of styles for both the face and strap. You’ll really be able to show off your personality with this new gadget!
