So, meet Terry…
Terry is a famous fashion and portrait photographer that has shot advertising campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Aldo, Supreme, Tom Ford, Yves St. Laurent, and has worked for Vogue, Rolling Stones, Vanity Fair, GQ, and many others.
Richardson has been making headlines lately for his controversial “art work”. His photographs are criticized for being too sexual and also for displaying only a mediocre level of talent. His style of photography is natural and candid. The subjects don’t wear any over-the-top makeup, and their outfits are usually quite minimal. Some critics say that anyone with a white background, a nice camera, and an attractive subject could take the photos he takes. Of course, this is in reference to his portrait shots. He has famously photographed Barack Obama, Kate Moss, Miranda Kerr, and Miley Cyrus.
Some of his more offensive antics include asking the models to call him “Uncle Terry“, suggesting to make a used tampon tea (rumoured), and getting naked and asking girls to take pictures of him. Terry Richardson is starting to sound a lot like someone else in the headlines lately. Dov Charney, anyone?
